A day at Campfire Stories Gathering
Not sure what to expect at The Gathering?
Wake up in nature to birds singing. Feel the warmth of the day arrive. Rise early or stay cosy under the covers and canvas for a while longer. Wade through dewy grass and grab a freshly brewed coffee. Toast up by the campfire and fall into morning conversations. Plan your day – the board is already up with the program of activities. What do you want to do, learn, explore, discover today? What interests you, challenges you, inspires you? Jump straight in or take it slow. Perhaps begin with guided morning rituals. Or yoga. Or a woodland workout. Or breathing exercises and an ice bath. Or all. Or none. Go at your own pace and enjoy the morning. And when you are ready, tuck into a hearty, healthy breakfast prepared over fire by our kitchen team.
Once fuelled up, workshops and talks kick-off. You choose which to attend. Maybe it’s a nature awareness workshop. Or a wild perfumery workshop. Or a storytelling workshop. Or a fire-making workshop. Or a wood carving workshop. Or a talk on reimagining our children’s education system. Or on how humanity can transcend nationality and religion and unite as a species. Or on preserving food heritage and traditional knowledge for our future.
Metal pots are already clanging in the outdoor kitchen as lunch is prepared. We gather again around long tables with new friends, diving into lively conversations and hearty, wholesome, nourishing food.
The afternoon’s activities roll into a belly-warming dinner, and then the evening’s activities begin. A keynote talk from an inspirational changemaker, followed by live music, campfires and stargazing. Chat, dance or gaze your evening away, and when you are ready, mosey back to your bed for the night, knowing that tomorrow brings more outdoor fun, nourishing food, inspiring talks, immersive workshops, great conversations and crackling campfires.
And when the weekend comes to an end, leave with an open heart, a quiet mind and new friends. Feel re-energised and reconnected, with yourself, others and the world around you.
